Two of our nurses have swapped shifts last minute for personal reasons, and it’s left us scrambling to cover.  I don’t want to be the bad guy and say ‘no’ to genuine requests, but it’s not fair on the rest of the team. How do you handle last minute rota changes?<br /><br /></span></p>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>July and so far August has been quieter than expected.  It usually is quiet, but this year more than usual.  Maybe the nice weather is to blame!<br />I’ve noticed the energy in the practice dipping. We’ve tried little things like ordering lunch for the team and setting small weekly goals, but I’m not sure it’s making much difference. How do you keep your team motivated when the patient list is thin? Would love some practical ideas that don’t cost a fortune.</p>
